Licensed to practice architecture since 1989, Alan was a principal at Jenkins/Williamson/Munroe prior to establishing his own firm in Fort Payne, Alabama.  In 2014, Alan joined Harrison Design Associates in Atlanta, Georgia where he became the co-head of the commercial studio and was made a principal of the firm in 2022.  Alan has been an active member of the American Institute of Architects and served as president of the Northeast Alabama Chapter and the Alabama Council.  He graduated from Fort Payne High School, Yale University, and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
