Carrie was born and raised in Decatur, AL, but Birmingham has been home for over 20 years. Shea attended Samford University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She went on to get her Masters in Education from UAB, and taught in the public and private school systems of Birmingham for a collective of seventeen years. Her experience and passion for helping and coordinating led her here to CAI. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her family and friends and has recently developed a love for pickleball.
