Cristen Cagle

Senior Interior Designer, NCIDQ

Cristen grew up in the country just outside of Andalusia, Alabama and went on to study at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Cristen has spent the last seven years in Salt Lake City, Utah where she practiced residential design at a leading yet small interior design firm and then transitioned to commercial at the largest architecture firm in the territory where she completed projects in small tenant improvements, multi-family housing, hospitality and commercial.

Cristen’s passion for Interior Design began at a very young age by antiquing with her mother and traveling and exploring architecture in the Deep South with family. Cristen traveled to Japan at the age of 11 to spend time with family for a month and it had a profound impact on the way she viewed the relationship between nature and architecture, how the two seamlessly respected each other. This is still her design philosophy today – to be careful, thoughtful, and intentional in everything she creates, to her, this is true elegance. Cristen recently moved back to the South to be closer to family. When she isn’t practicing design, you would most likely find her somewhere in nature, on a road trip “picking” antiques and exploring new towns,  photographing something unique or painting at home.
