We work in an open studio environment where collaboration between our interior design team and architects is prioritized. The job is full-time, Monday to Friday, in our Birmingham, Alabama office.

Residential Interior Design Project Designer / Manager Responsibilities
Provide Interior staff support
Meet with clients and help manage projects with a senior staff member
Engage in all aspects of design and construction documents
Assist with site observations and as-built documentation
Assist with selecting furniture, materials, décor, and finishes
Assist in construction documents and specifications
Assist in the selection, ordering, tracking, receiving, and installing of all fixtures and finishes, including but not limited to lighting, cabinetry, door and cabinetry hardware, tile, stone, flooring, mirrors, stain, and paint
Assist with installations and photoshoots
Assist with weekly correspondence with clients
Coordinate internally with Project Architect, contractor and project consultants
Travel to remote job sites
Attend trade shows
Meet with reps and maintain good-standing relationships
Market to new clients and maintain existing client relationships
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture
Project design deliverables in both FF&E and construction documents
AutoCAD and Revit proficiency required
Organized, efficient and able to work well with and lead others
Strong professional skills and positive attitude
Excellent communication skills
Residential Project Manager Responsibilities
Independently perform a variety of assignments that demonstrate an understanding of conventional architectural design and construction methods
Manage multiple projects at various stages
Work with clients to define project requirements and develop design criteria
Serve as primary contact for project clients, consultants, etc.
Undertake design project from concept to completion
Conduct site visits and attend construction meetings
Produce presentation materials both digitally and by hand
Lead client presentations
Produce construction documents and specifications
Work alongside senior leadership to develop overall project design and design details
Work alongside senior leadership to develop technical strategies and solutions for project design
Responsible for developing and managing project schedules and distributing responsibilities to other project managers and project designers
Review shop drawings and submittals for approval
Co-manage design team alongside senior leadership to ensure budget, schedule and client expectations are met
Email correspondence with clients on weekly basis
Select and research finishes, materials, and products
Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion
Ensure that all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
Travel to remote job sites to check on project status and report on project
Approve invoices and billing information
Attend trade shows
Coordinate internally with senior leadership, contractors, and project consultants
Follow architectural trends and advancements
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in architecture from accredited program
Responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables (construction documents)
Revit proficiency is required. Preferred knowledge of SketchUp, AutoCAD, photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign
Other relevant software skills may include rendering software (V-ray, Maxwell, etc.)
Organized, efficient, and able to work well with others in a collaborative environment
Exhibits excellent communication skills, and has a positive attitude
Ability to design and problem solve
HR Generalist Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
Support conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment
Administer employee benefits programs and liaise with providers
Process bi-weekly payroll
Assist with payroll and bonus review processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies
Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives
Coordinate training and professional development opportunities
Maintain accurate employee records
Encourage documentation and record-keeping among supervisors
Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership
Assist with job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation
Conduct exit interviews
Collect company property upon departure
Process final payroll and benefits termination
Update personnel records and system access for departing employees
Support knowledge transfer and transition of responsibilities
Requirements and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
· 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a creative or professional services environment
· Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
· Experience in architecture, design, or similar industries
· SHRM-CP or PHR certification
· Experience with ADP software
· Passion for collaboration and teamwork
